Friesens Employee Directed Giving

| Community

On behalf of the Employee-Owners of Friesens Corporation, we are pleased to inform you that we recently donated $4,048.80 to the Altona Fire Department. Regarding this donation, Chad Friesen made this comment, “We are very pleased to support first responders and proud of our employee-owners that volunteer their time as fire fighters. The Altona Fire Department is a perennial favorite of employees through the Employee-Directed Giving program.”

We also donated $4,120.80 to the Rhineland Food Bank. Attached is a picture of the cheque presentation – pictured is Ang Stoesz accepting the cheque from Employee-Owner, Frances Brady.

Chad Friesen, President and CEO said, “The Rhineland Food Bank provides such an important service to our region. In a vibrant community like ours, we may forget that there are people who desperately need a helping hand. Our employee-owners are proud to support the work of the Rhineland Food Bank.”

One of our core values is to help build a stronger community. We invest in the community through both cash donations and by supporting our employees as coaches, youth leaders, fundraisers, and many other important volunteer roles.

Friesens Corporation sponsors numerous initiatives every year from the local level to the national level. We focus on literacy, culture, education, environment, history, care, and recreation.

Through our “Employee-Directed Giving Program” each employee voted for which local organizations they felt would benefit the most from Friesens charitable giving. The donation amount is correlated to the number of votes the recipient organization received.
